RE: Gameplay Writer

Sometimes when I feel distressed I scream momentarily about a recent tragedy in order to take advantage of the blunting effects caused by the hyperbolic reaction. Yes, I’m just like you. And what you are reading may change the course of both of our lives; but probably mostly mine. Cover letters are a funny thing. Not amusing, or even rib-tickling, really. No, cover letters are strange. Crafting a cover letter is no less trivial than other forms of writing, and as Musashi Miyamoto, famed dual-sword-wielding samurai educator/carpenter would say, you must study the Way of writing. Yes, I do not merely write, but I AM writing. Oh, but also I definitely don’t take myself too seriously. That was close, I almost went against the grains of exactly what was asked of the position. Speaking of positions, I hear that you are perhaps in the position of employing me. But enough about me, let’s talk about you. You want someone who can cooperate industriously, operate independently, and produce quick jabs and deep cuts akin to cave-dwelling retiree Musashi Miyamoto, whom I believe took himself fairly seriously… but rest assured, I definitely don’t have that problem. But what’s a problem anyway, but an opportunity to find a solution. So perhaps… perhaps I DO have that ‘finding a solution’ aspect if you prefer that framing. Speaking of framing, as carpenter/acclaimed novelist Musashi Miyamoto would say, I assume, you must keep in mind the context in which things are occurring. Like, this cover letter perusal, and your perhaps slightly growing curiosity, about what kind of a sick - but in a modern, positive way - individual wrote this? And maybe it would be at least entertaining to interview them, if for no other reason, than to make them explain themselves for what they have put you through. And also like carpentry, a strong foundation is equally important for building a relationship, or even some kind of video game. The kind that makes you almost shriek with laughter, not at all like the kind of terror yells we both use to desensitize us to shocking external events as a totally healthy and not-worthy-of-judgment coping mechanism. Seriously, I am looking forward to hearing from you. But not too seriously.
